Turning off doors

I'm trying to turn off some extra lines in my model but can't find out how. Revit is telling me that they're from doors but I've turned off everything and the lines are still there. Can anybody let me know what I'm missing?

Select Element, Right-Click and press and Hide in View: BY CATEGORY in the Right-Click Drop-Down Menu.  That do it?

They maybe from a nested family inside the door family.  Try turn off Clearance or something sounding similar under Detail items category.  Or, just edit the door family and find out what it is.

no, sorry if I wasn't clear. I turned off the lines to find out what family the lines were in. I still want the door and the swing visible but the lines not to be. Hiding the category hides the door completely.

The lines are definitely part of the door family. When I try to edit the family, I see the door but the lines don't show up. very strange.

Families from different categories can be nested in other families. The lines being under "Detail Items" would be my guess too.

What do you mean by this? Are you looking in a 3D view, or the plan view?

Just share your door family here.

Do you know what assuming does?

It leads to inaccurate answers.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.
