Hi, I'm still pretty new to Revit and the materials throw me off. I'm trying to model all my exterior walls as translucent polycarbonate and downloaded a bunch of polycarb material textures that I imported in as families.
I've been messing around with it for some time, but I think the texture is supposed to be applied to glass to get a polycarbonate "look". I was hoping to apply it to walls so it would have a couple inches of thickness, however. Any idea for how to do this? I've attached a photo of what I'm going for. Thanks
You can apply the material to any element you wish to apply it to.. Wht works for a Door panel will work on a Wall too. What maters is how you set up its appearance and what asset you assign to it.
There are prebuilt-in assets in Revit, for that effect you can try the Polycarbonate or Vinyl which already exist in AEC Materiel Library....adjust the Reflectance and Translucency and you should get it right after a few trials and errors
