Hi guys I've been struggling trying to make this fitting (see attached files, Fitting is circled in red) the way I've been trying to make it is by splitting the bend into different parts but i just couldn't get it to work, i have also tried using the swept bend tool but i cannot get it to follow the correct shap.... anyone have any ideas on how to make it?? Thanks

Sweep looks right from here. Not a Blend because it's equal on both sides per your DWG.
Regarding the two ends; one is created with 2 differently sized profiles (Blend) and other with one profile. Create them, and then use a Void to cut their angles.
Another approach would be using a Revolve with this Boundary and Axis and Start/End Angle.
You will likely have a hard time matching these profiles circled in blue below. It can be done but will take some calculations and headaches.
If the fitting is not meant to be parametric, I would rather model it as an adaptive generic family since it is easier to create form from profiles on non parallel planes, then export it to SAT, import the SAT to your fitting family and call it a day.
If it must be parametric, maybe model it with a tweak (use a 90 degree instead of a 30 degree revolve as the center piece so that the profiles of the blends are on parallel planes.
yeah I've spent quite a few hours trying to make it perfect according to the Cad model but i think ill just take your advice and change that 30 degree bend into a 90 degree one. it'll make life a hell of a lot easier
Thanks for the help ![]()
You got to be kidding me! That's the solution, @Anonymous?! Throw in the towel and "make life a hell of a lot easier"?!
The Revolve was the perfect solution. An "easy" one too. I'm going take it back and give it to somebody else who will appreciate it.
Good Evening.
