Truss to sit on structural framing

I am trying to have the the truss "sit on" the structural timber frame wall.

How could I achieve the below? The red lines indicate where I would like the truss to be. I have

attached the image. Refer to Section 6.

Yes!

I would also like the internal lining to cover the outside face of the trusses.

I'm not really clear where you are struggling, but there are several things that need to be done (e.g. Break Up the Stacked Wall, Modify the Wall Assembly to unlock the finish layer that you want to extend, etc.).

See if the attached RVT helps you.

Thank you.

Could you please explain the following:

1. How did you separate the stacked wall into two separate walls?

2. When you "create parts" to be able to select the individual layers how did you creates grips to be

able to stretch the finish layer?

Ok, so you can right click the wall and go "break up"

I managed to break up the walls but I cant seem to get grips on the highlighted wall.

I unlocked each individual layer

Don't unlock each layer. Just unlock the finish layer you want to extend.  Like I did in the RVT I sent you.

Yes thank you. Also I noticed you drew a reference roof is this because the truss requires roof above it at all times?

you needed a target reference to attach Trusses to. In your case, it was better IMO/E to make the target reference a single roof with a surface area large enough for all the Trusses to attach to.  You can hide the Reference Roof in the View the same way you hide any reference element that needs to be created in modeling the structure, such as Ref Planes.

You don't need to hide the reference roof, just demolish it under the same phase it was created.  Any phase will work.
