Troubleshooting chevron pattern

Hi there,

I'm trying to create a custom chevron pattern for a tile that is 4" x 21". I created the following myself, but when applied to my model the pattern looks misaligned (please refer to screen capture attached).

*Chevron
;%TYPE=MODEL
;
;angle, x, y, shift, offset, dash, space
45, 0, 0, 46, 4, 21, -126
90, 0, 0, 0, 14.875
135, 0, 0, -46, 4, 21, -126
45, 29.75, 0, 46, 4, 21, -126
135, 29.75, 0, -46,4, 21, -126

I appreciate your assistance! Thank you and have a nice day 🙂

Get pyRevit and use their tool to create a pattern from a sketch you draw. It's visual and painless.

ohh, thank you for this recommendation. My office does not have this tool so I've sent it to be reviewed and hopefully installed by our IT manager ' hopefully he will approve it quickly 🙂 Much appreciated!

Another approach not requiring any installation and do it online:

Thank you for this! The original pattern I had also created using pattycake, but for some reason it was showing up incorrectly in my model. I was able to adjust the one you shared to the dimensions that we required and it works now - really appreciate your help!
