Trouble with converting family to face-based

Hello,

I used the copy/monitor trick to convert this wall-based meter to face-based. It is almost working as desired, except when I change the wall offset to be 0" / flush with the wall, the meter viewer doesn't remain locked to the front face of the meter box:

I've tried adding lock constraints but it didnt work:

Is there another constraint I need to check?

Thank you for the assistance.

For Info: Copy Monitor converts it to a Work Plane based family not face based

When you select the meter (wherever you are placing it a Family or project) what does the workplane read on the properties palette.

  • If it reads <Not Associated> then you would need to re-host it...ie: Select  >>> use Pick New Host
  • If you are using it as a nested component, Host it on a Work Plane (ie: Reference Plane) instead of a Face
