Trim fascia to fit.

I am working on this gambrel barn model.  I would like to add white fascia boards to accent it in classic red & white barn style.  However, I don't know how to get the fascia to either change profiles or to trim it to fit the profile of the overhang.

I tried using a reference plane + the cut tool and it didn't work.  Tips?

On the left you can see the transparent version of the fascia board over the profile of the roof's overhang.  On the right you can see the fascia as a solid.

Thanks again! You guys have made a huge difference in my drafting journey!

Add a void in place and use cut geometry to cut.

Are you using the Fascia Tool? If so, then use the Modify Mitering Tool.  No?

The void trick ToanDown suggested worked, but I'll try that too and let you
know.
