Trim Curtain Panels On Placement

I'm messing around with the idea of creating a partition panel wall using the curtain wall functionality, but I can't seem to figure out how to trim the panels (assuming it's possible to do it this way). I have a ribbed panel at a set size in the curtain panel family and I attached a void on either end to trim the panel for smaller instances. Is something like this possible or is cutting with a void always a manual process?

Can you use a system panel with a ribbed material instead of a custom panel family?

Shape Editing and/or Embedding Walls might get you there. Got a picture of what you would like to Model?  Post it.

"Ribbed" as in Corrugated?  If so, consider using Mullions in lieu of Panels if you want to Shape/Edit Wall Profile. That is, the Curtain Wall would consist of tightly spaced Vertical or Horizontal Mullions with one Mullion representing a single rib. No Panels at all. Just the Empty System Panel as the Default go-to filler.

@ToanDN We can't go with the material because we need the profile to show up in a top down view.

@barthbradley The picture below has the 3 profiles we'll need, but I'm just trying to figure out the first one. The reason I'm using a panel as opposed to individual ribs is because we need to keep track of the count. (Right now we use a custom tool to array the panels within a nested family and the count shows up in the BOM).

I would create the corrugated as mullion profile. Set the panel to empty and you get curtainwall that will conform to the shape you wanted. See attached.

Here is what I would do if I needed 3d ribs and a panel schedule:
- create a curatin wall type with only vertical mullions as ribs (b)
- create a curtain wall type (a) with (b) assigned as panel
- draw using (a) and divide grids as needed
- schedule curtain wall type (b) to get the count

Thank you all for the suggestion, I'm going to try that out and see how it goes.
