Toposurface Boundary Point to be converted to Interior Point

There is this thing that drives me nuts. You know that thing?

When I creating a new toposurface, I am allowed to copy "Boundary Point" outside the surface, automaticly changing the original point to "Interior Point". But, when I wanna do the same thing to a surface that was previously splited using "Split Surface" tool, I get this message:

"A Point is outside of the Surface boundary. Insert the Point on the boundary instead, and then drag it to the desired location."

I don't have time to do this. I just need to copy all the boundary points and offset them by 10 cm. Is there any way to defeat Patrick? 🙂

instead of copying and pasting outside boundary, why not reverse it...select all and drag them to the outside (and if it is a must copy after dragging and paste inside)
