Toposolid/Surface created from 3d CAD import floats high above level 0

I have created a toposolid/surface of a site plan from a 3d cad file that I imported into Revit, however the 3D topo that Revit has created is way above level 0 and I have to try and manually move it down to level 0 which is where my building is. Is there anyway of making Revit automatically create the 3d topo of the Cad file at level 0 (Project basepoint 0)?

Imported CAD files is placed in the correct Z position (Survey Coordinates)

Relocate the Project to these correct coordinates ...do not move terrain ...

the best solution , in my opinion, is to create a New File with the terrain in the right position acquired from inserted CAD file and then Link the file that contains the building into terrain file...

Normally I can set the real world terrain level of a building by just simply setting the elevation levels in the specify coordinates option, this means I don't have to move the building at all, but I'll still be able to show real world levels of the building if I need to. From what you are saying does it mean that imported 3D Cad files will never be at the default project base point 0 in Revit?
