Anybody experimented a limit in toposolid vertex number?
If I link a Civil 3D toposurface with over 10k triangles everything shows fine. If I convert it to Toposolid or link a toposolid, vertex number gets automatically cut to 10k, missing some points here and there, resulting in a poor fidelity to the original one.
Any hint?
Where did you get this information about the 10k limit?
This one has over 60,000 vertices:
Just for the record here; that toposolid has over 20,000 "triangles". Each triangle has 3 vertices, but obviously the triangles share vertices, so there aren't 60,000 individual vertices. I have no idea how many vertices (e.g. points) make up that toposolid. Maybe it's under 10,000. Maybe it's over 10,000. All's I know is that I'm using only a fraction of the 5+ million square feet. Maybe that's the solution for you. A smaller "portion".
Did you ever attempt to cut/join to this? I am wondering if you experienced as long of wait time for these commands to process as I did (also 60k points). Typically between 30 minutes to 45 for a cut or join.
EDIT - just saw your post below, so the comparison is not applicable. But still interested to know.
