Dear all!

Is there a way to align a 2d cad map to a topography in revit? In a way to make it three-dimensional so it matches the terrain underneath it? Right now it clashes with the topography in an awkward way in the 3d view.

Hi @b_matelowska

Have you set up the revit model to the correct Coordinates, ideally acquired from the survey CAD File you used to create the Topo?

If so you should be able to import the Cad Map using Locate by: Shared Coordinates.  This will throw up a warning, saying that the Cad Map does not share the same coordinates, so Real World Coordinates will be used instead.

I'm not understanding. Which came first; the chicken or the egg?  Are you saying that the Revit Toposurface already exists and that you are trying to create a CAD version of it?  If so, you can Export the Revit Toposurface to CAD -- both 3D and 2D.

Why do you need the CAD map overlaying the topo? Just turn it off.
