Hi. I am very new to Revit and am running 2016. I have been undergoing online training but have somehow missed a step in the tutorial process and don't know how to fix it. Clearly this is a learning moment.
I have taken a surveyors plan and recorded the hieghts in order to make a 3d topographical view. All good except that when I have gone into the elevations I don't see the site at all...I thought that if I set the datum levels for the FFL and CL that it make pull the elevation into view but nope...nothing...Can you suggest how I can take the view I I see in the site plan (first image) and make it appear in the elevation (second image).
I get that this may be really basic for many of you but I don't know who else to ask.
Thanks
Make sure the topography you modeled is under focus by the elevation marker. You can adjust its boundaries by adjusting the line show in the image after checking on the crop view.(click on the small triangle and check on the crop view)
The elevation marker is like a camera from where you are viewing the elevation.you can also move the marker to adjust its view.
#1. Make sure that in your plan view, the elevation marker is pointed at the topography.
#2. Make sure than in your plan view, the extents of that elevation view enclose the topography.
#3. Make sure that in your elevation view, you Zoom Extents, because your topography might be way below or above the Levels shown.
