Topographic thickness of a surface

Hi,

Is there a way to add a thickness to a topographic surface?

Would any one have done this in the past that might advise?

Thanks

You go to massing and site. Click on the small arrow and change the section graphic elevation of poche base

FWIW: Keep in mind that it is called a "Toposurface" because that's all it is - a SURFACE. It is not a Mass-like element that has Volume and Depth. The Poche you see in Section Cut is only a symbolic representation.  Massing & Site Tab=>Site Settings.

Note: Poche only shows when Toposuface is CUT in the View by Section Cut Plane or 3D Section Box.

Are you familiar with how to create a Roof by Mass Face? Maybe you can use this approach to accomplish what you want.

1. Export your Toposurface to DWG

2. Start an In-Place Mass Session in Revit

3. Import into the Session the DWG you exported out of Revit in step 1

4. Finish and close out of In-Place Mass (ignore Warning)

5. Create a Roof by Face from the Mass you created

That's the short version. Here's the long version:

Figures that came from Marcello.... LOL... In looking at the handout I think I may have actually attended that class.

Just out of curiosity, why do you want to make the topo thicker?

its in the name, topography is a surface and not element with any thickness.

probably you can increase the thickness of the cut line in the section if that solves your issues.
