Too many lines showing in 3D view Revit

Hi, for some reasons, too many line are showing up in my 3D view in Revit. 

I've tried creating a keyboard shortcut for X-ray mode to disable it, but it won't work. 

I've also went threw the different display mode, the lines are still there. 

I've tried the hidden lines parameters in the property view and set them to "none" but it won't work either. 

Anyone went threw a similar issue? Thanks

Are they any linked files causing this? 

Or Visibility Graphics Overrides in the View?

When hidden line mode doesn't work in a view there a couple reasons usually:

• CAD file linked/imported that is "too large", its extents are greater than 20 miles
• Model is created too far from Revit's origin, usually because of the first item

Check the location of the model against the Internal Origin icon to see if you have created the model very far from it. You can test the CAD file situation by turning off imported categories like shown in the prior reply.

If it happens to multiple 3D views, then unload any DWG links in that view.  The DWGs may have too large of the extent.

If it only happens to one 3D view then just delete the view and recreate it.

Have you checked transparency in "graphic Display Options"

Thanks for all the replies! I've compared different 3D views and it seemed like the elevation target and elevation eye values were both too high. Maybe way too far from the origin like a lot of people replied which caused the display issue. My model was a BIM coordonated model so I knew for fact it was well placed. Also, orthographic mode was choosen instead of perspective mode.

Are you saying it only happens to one view? If so, just delete the view and create a new one. Nothing is lost.

Also, a few things to keep in mind:

- the elevation eye and target values being too great can cause the in issue as you are having, but they do not have anything to do with the distance from the model to the origin

- different models sharing coordinated, or well placed as you said it, do not mean they have the same distance to the origin. One can be closed by and the other can be way off.
