Currently,I Am working on a project where the clashes between services reached more than 6000. I Am trying to clear as many as possible but you know it’s extremely time consuming.
Whats the the best time effective way to clear all those clashes ?
thanks in advance.
6000? are all clashes hard? with good tolerance? I suggest going through the clash report, identifying element id, select in model see if there is indeed clash or is it negligible. once you do 100-200 you will get an idea then you will able to identify elements from clash report only by viewing snaps. that's how I did when I had 2400 clashes with mech, 1500 with elec. 4000 with struct.
How are you determining clashes? I'd be wondering how it is possible to have 6000 and what changes need to to be implemented to keep it from happening again.
It may seem like a lot of conflicts but when you consider that there are most likely many duplicates and the fact that when one conflict is resolved, many others might get fixed at the same time. For example, a 2" pipe is not coordinated and needs to be raised 6". That change might resolve a number of conflicts down the line with said pipe at the same time.
If you are getting that many conflicts, someone isn't coordinating as they are modeling. It's great that Revit can find these conflicts but I'm sure many of them could have been prevented with a little thought as they were being modeled.
Yeah even if duplicate clashes resolved still there will be many clashes left over to resolve. Is there any best effective method to solve these clashes ? I have less time to solve them.
Sorry, prevention and ongoing coordination is the cure.
The only thing I can suggest is to get all the parties that created the clashes together. Divide and conquer. You will be surprised by how fast it goes.
Chalk it up to a learning experience.
...it is possible too, that the models are not aligned properly. This would be the first thing I would check.
