So many indirect methods! Like a detective investigating secrets within icons...To use the railing icon to create so many other stuff! Come on Revit Programmers! Instead of fancy unimportant updates every year Revit guys should develop separate icons to create Roads, Paths, curbs, and many more site items... The newly developed toposolid is fine but cutting and digging the site with void geometry is a bad idea and a poor method. Reintroduce the Building Pad in the next version.
Not clear why the heck we need more flipping icons -- or even need to redesign the old, familiar ones which really irks me to no end.
I definitely ditto your Building Pad sentiment though. We need Toposurfaces back, in general. Why can't we have both?

What!?! Icons are a serious bizness.
But yeah, this is a clear example of developers listened to few dozens user's moaning aka feedback (bet it was mainly about them couldn't create a tunnel or something of that nature), fulfilled their wishes by shooting themselves in the foot, and kicking the rest of the users in the stomach.
