titeblock logo not printing

This problem only recently occurred. I'm using Revit 2020. My titleblock has the company logo in it (originally a jpg). When I print to PDF in Bluebeam, the logo is there. When I print from Bluebeam to a Xerox printer, the logo is there. When I print from Revit to the Xerox printer, the logo is there.

When I print from Bluebeam to the HP Designjet T120, everything looks great but the logo is missing.

When I print directly from Revit 2020 to the Designjet, the same thing, the logo is missing.

Is there something in the way that Revit now handles inserted images that would cause this? I've never had this problem in years of using Revit. I have also posted this issue to the HP Designjet forum in case it's something related to their plotters specifically.

Hi @wrcole26

I don't have a HP DesignJet, but for what it is worth, I have never had a lot of success inserting JPG logos into titleblocks and have always recreated the logo's natively in Revit, text and filled regions.  I guess this may not be feasible for all logos.

It definitely sounds like a plotter problem.  Make sure the driver is updated, try another image format such as PNG, dig through the plotter preferences see if you can find any thing about handling raster output.

I have done that and recreated the logo natively in Revit. This works fine, but I'm still curious why this suddenly was a problem, when I had been using this logo as a jpg in the titleblock for many years. Also, I usually place my signed stamp on the drawings as a jpg at the appropriate time, and if that no longer works I'll be unhappy.

Regarding the plotter driver, the plotter is brand new and the plotter is the most current.

I went to that link and found the properties for my HP Designjet T120 plotter. I tried several experiments unchecking the box for print spooled documents first, enabling advanced printing features, and even spooling at all. Nothing worked in this case to print the jpg stamp.

OK, I've done another experiment and this is definitely something in Revit 2020. I placed a jpg on a sheet such that it overlapped the titleblock on the right side of the sheet. When I plot it, the portion of the jpg that is just to the right and just to the left of the titeblock prints, but the portion directly over the titleblock is "masked" or doesn't show. I've checked the jpg to make sure it is set to "bring to front", and I've checked my titleblock sheet family for any shapes or regions (there are none), so this has me completely stumped. Has anyone else seen something like this?

I have the same thing with GP T120. Started with Revit 2020. Were you able to figure out the issue?.

Unfortunately I have never found a clear answer to this problem.
