I want the mouse wheel to do two things, pan when pressed and zoom when scrolled. A new thing seems to be happening though, Zoom To Fit All.
It's happening, I think, because pressing the wheel to pan is triggering the side scrolling feature (wheel tilt) which Revit interprets as a desire to ZTFA. I've had this mouse for more than a year so it's probably a sensitivity issue with the mouse. I haven't changed the drivers or updated Revit in the last couple of weeks.
Whatever the case may be, is there a way to disable ZTFA by clicking anything on the mouse? I rarely use ZTFA anyway and this is really making working difficult because it's happening almost every time I try to pan.
The wheel tilt is a hardware problem. Something has come loose in the mouse making it trip more easily. It's like the tilt sensor is shorting out and producing very rapid clicks with any mouse wheel contact.
There's no software option to disable the tilt function, only the rate of scrolling. Changing the double-click speed doesn't help either because you can only affect the slow end of the clicking speed range. Rapid clicking sets it off at any setting.
What I needed was a way to disable ZTFA. That's possible in AutoCAD but apparently not in Revit, so now I have to chuck an otherwise ok mouse.
What brand? Logitech's drivers allow for setting the wheel tilt to <none>
