things out of Plan region shows

Hi,everyone.

I am working on a project now.I have a problem of using plan region. I want to create a plan region to make a hole upon the main view range show.as the picture I uploaded shows, the green line is where I set plan region,I just need this hole shows, but now it seems that all the things connected with this hole shows(including two other holes that I marked in red ,and 1st floor where the three holes are set on.) looking forward to hearing from everyone.main view region.JPGplan region .JPG

Can you show a clip that shows the outline of the plan region.  What is in that hole?  Is that a ladder?  Do the other holes have the same family in them?

Are you trying to hide elements with a plan region? I've not had much luck using plan regions in this manner. I usually try to find a way to use them to extend the view range. You also have to remember that objects that are overlapped by the boundaries will not get partially hidden. The entire object will show.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

yes, it is ladder which is uesd to climb down to the underground from 1st floor.I use plan region to extend the view range to show the hole .(as u can see  from the screenshot above ,main view range is under 1st floor, that means the hole can't be seen if i dont use plan region.) .and yes, all the holes are the same family.

I was trying to use plan region to extend view range too.but as u can see the,the green line is the boundry of plan region.it is even smaller the That one hole.but still, the other two holes show.1JPG.JPG

Is it a floor with holes? If so, so that is the expected behavior because your view region inside the floor boundary will show the entire floor. You could split the floor to make one around the hole and a little bit larger than the view region then it should work. Or simply use drafting line to draw the hole and lock it to the actual hole.

See attached 2019 file.

thank you for your solution.yes ,it is a floor with holes.if the plan region is inside the floor boundary,so that the floor shows, ok this makes sense. what about the other holes .plan region didnt include these areas.why the other holes show?I  want to know the behavior of plan region.not just draw a correct architecture drawing.could you please tell me more about the behavior.I mean, of course ,I can draft lines or hide unnessecary elements when unnessecary elements  show as a solution.but I really want to know more about the behavior.is this connected with the concept of sensor line in family or the floor ?

thank you for your answer.but I still dont understand . why smaller floor works .the larger one doesnt.basiclly, they are the same category, they should behave the same.Isnt that a bug?
