there is no showing the shape of column before placing the column

in my ground floor plan it shows ok and no problem at all as shown in figure below.  however, there is no showing the shape of column before placing it  in my first floor plan. anyone know what happen to my revit?

Check the view range of your current view and make sure the structural columns you are placing is within the view range.

Choose height instead of depth before placing the column and change your detail level to fine. Thanks
