the shadows shows as broken square pieces

The images and plans are showing some kind of a weird issue. It like sometimes everything is freezing in all views. Especially when I ‘m turning on the shadows in the 3dviews or camera views . the shadows shows as broken square pieces all around. Any help? Thanks

… it most provably be the hardware acceleration

… go to file

… open options

… there go to hardware

… uncheck the hardware acceleration

also I have another question

What is happening with the shadows

I can’t see the shadows in my project, everything plans and the 3dviews are too dark. Why I can’t see them?

Be aware that disabling hardware acceleration, while it can fix most of the graphic glitches but also degrade Revit performance, especially when you working with 3d views, orbit, shade/realistic visual styles.

Try to update your videocard driver if possible, or replace it with a compatible one if updating the old card driver is not an option.

A list of certified cards can be found on the Autodesk Certified Hardware page specific to your Revit version.

As suggested by @ToanDN please update your graphics cards driver from the manufacturer's website, sometimes these may not be updated automatically based on your system settings!
