For anyone else, I was looking for a file that existed several years ago that was a Revit puzzle/game.

I did a session at a BIM Workshop in 2015 called "Who Moved My Cheese", a "game" where the people attending the session attempted to figure out why elements were "missing" in views. The winner got candy, Smarties.

Any chance that's what you're referring to?

That sounds like a similar concept, but what I'm looking for is an actual Revit file that has 12 hidden marbles in it. They're all hidden in different ways, and the puzzle is to find them all. It was just something I downloaded years ago, and I'd be interested to find it again.

FWIW, I've attached the zip file with the RVT files and a PDF handout. I didn't use marbles, because I was tackling the myriad things that can go missing, not just families. At Autodesk University the year before (I think) I did my session Revit tech staff ran a challenge to find a missing chair family. One was quite mean, the family had no elements inside it.

This looks like it contains a lot of the same ideas. Unfortunately, I'm not able to open the 4 & Up file, I think it was a central model? But thank you for sending it! I appreciate the help!

You should be able to open the file if you select Detach from Central. It's a Revit 2016 project file and to do the troubleshooting worksets need to be enabled so the example in the PDF works.

I remember that Revit game. It was floating around forums a few years back. Might be worth checking old threads or archives — sometimes those files are still out there. Let us know if you find it!

I remember that one  It was a pretty clever little Revit puzzle. I think it was shared on the forums years ago — might still be hiding in some old threads or archives. Hope someone still has a copy!

I remember seeing a few Revit puzzle projects like this, and they were a surprisingly fun way to explore the software. A game built around finding hidden marbles sounds like something I would actually try rather than just another demonstration model. I’d be interested to see whether the original file has survived somewhere or if someone has recreated it.
