Whatever the icon is called, the little t that can join or disjoin walls in plan, what are the rules for its visibility.

Sometimes I can see it sometimes I don't. In either case my wall can be joined or disjointed.

It shouldn't be visible until you select the wall.  Are you experiencing something different? It's just indicating the join condition at that intersection.  It can be toggled between to icon types: Joined and Unjoined.  But, only when you select the wall should it appear.

Doesn't seem to be visible even when I select the wall.

You need to activate it. Right-click on the wall end and select Disallow Join. Then select the wall again. Voila!

Want it always there? Disallow Automatic Join on placement of the Wall.

It only shows up if you select a wall that is unjoined. Then you can select the "T" to join.

If the wall is joined, however, it won't appear. Then you must right click on the control node (little blue dot) and select "Disallow Join" to unjoin.

And the condition is for each end, not per whole wall.

It shows when you select a SINGLE, UNJOINED wall.
