The best way for Manage Big Revit Project

Hello

I recently should model a large collection in Revit. The complex includes about 20 buildings with different uses. I have some ways to do this:
1- Make a master Revit file and link all buildings to the master file.
In this method, I can see all buildings only master file.
2- Make a master Revit file and link all buildings to the master file and make links for each building in another.
In this method, I shoulda a lot of links and I guess I'll be confused.

Also when I link for example file 1.rvt in file 2.rvt and link 2.rvt in file 3.rvt, I can not see file 1.rvt in 3.rvt

Kindly suggest on this.

Regards

Why not put everything in one model?  Are you limited by the performance of your computer?

My buildings have different levels, heights and floors. Like a city, it includes different buildings. I think the separation of each building in one file is a good path.
Also for better management of the project.
If you have a better suggestion, tell me, please.
Thanks
