TEXTURE ALIGNMENT, MODEL TYPE, NEW MATERIAL

I am trying to align the text - this little bit of path is 900 wide and has 2x 450 tiles - so I though it was easy enough just to smash the blue arrow on the align render appearance and voila - however no matter how many times I move it on the texture alightment tool it does not change it on the screen

thoughts? 

I created the texture - its just a simple model pattern background and cross hatch

Align it to what?  I don't see an Appearance Image.

Make it look like the sample on the right with one line in the centre which means 2 tiles of 450 mm each and therefore one line in the middle of the 900 width here

You are using the wrong feature...what is in your images look more like a surface pattern...you just need to

1. create and use the 45x45 crosshatch model pattern
2. In the model, Use Align tool to align it to the edges

It does what it says...aligns the Appearance (image) relative to the surface pattern
