Text orientation on dimension

Hi! I am new to Revit, so apologies if I am stuck in a CAD mindset and maybe missing something obvious. I have a question about dimensions. When dimensioning a curving facade, eventually the text on the dimensions will flip from outside to inside automatically. A bit of playing around and googling did not give any clues as to how one can force the text to stay always on one side. See image for what I'm hoping to achieve:

I understand this is in some ways good for legibility, but it also looks messy - and most importantly, I have a markup from the boss telling me to always put the text outside!

Sure, I can manually drag the text, but that will give inconsistent rotation, and also use up a lot of time.

Thankful for help!

it might be some trial and error

if you dimension 1 quadrant with a dimstyle that works, then dimension another quadrant and duplicate and edit the second dimension style read convention.

images are dimensioned with Arc Length by quadrant then duplicated to use 2 different read conventions

left side = Left then up

Right side = Right then up

Thank you! It cleared up some of the logic for me, although is there really no automatic way? This will balloon the number of text styles and add more manual work to dimming...

Furthermore, is there a way to control the text to show it below, but rotated? As such:

Again, I'm aware I can drag it down one by one, that is not a very tidy workflow though. As far as I can see, the settings you showed will not achieve this?

Thank you again

Hello @kostgard

You can make a Duplicate for any part of the Dimension Line and then change Read Convention parameter.

Ah the classic trap of wanting things to be pretty rather than legible...
