Text offset different from horizontal to angled

Can someone explain how to have a consistent offset on Aligned dimensions?  If I create an aligned dimension that is not horizontal or vertical the offset seems to change.

This is the Text Offset field under the Text area of the Dimension style -

Please advise.  Thank you.

Regards Peter.

What about two Dimension Types; one for Aligned with a slightly greater offset to compensate for the inaccuracy between the two?

It seems to get smaller as you rotate it.  Just hoping there was a setting or something?  any more thoughts?  I'd rather not create multiple dimension styles for this issue.

Cheers Peter.

Yah, it looks like about a 1/64" difference at 1/8"/1'-0" scale.

Does it really stand out in context to the overall View?  I know when you zoom in tight the difference is noticeable, but how about when you zoom to fit?

It's one of Revit things.

Yes - there are a lot of those, aren't there? 😉
