Text is printing larger than it appears?

After upgrading to 2017, all of my text is printing to (either Adobe PDF, my 24x36 plotter, or smaller printer) a slightly larger size.  (Almost) all of my fonts are Arial, however I am noticing that there is a difference regardless of font.  For example, my Arial 3/32 front is printing not quite at 1/8" - somethign in between.  If text is say, inside of a revision cloud on the screen, it comes out on the PDF/paper overlapping the revision cloud.  I have attempted to print in both vecotr and raster.  No other patterns, line types, etc. appear to be affected.

Sadly I did not try to start printing with 2017 until today (when I need it).

Changing the resolution to 100% and restarting my computer fixed the problem. Thanks!

Thank you Hattieman! This did the trick. I had tried many other potential solutions intermittenly for last couple of weeks. This one solution worked. Simple, effective. Thank you!

I just had this same issue. A good old fashioned program restart did the trick. Simply closed revit and reopened it. It worked.

We just has the same issue too when trying to print off revit 2017.2.

I guess restart and disconnect from any external screen will work.

For Revit 2021:

Select "Text" command. Then under the "Text" Ribbon, find "Tab Size." Adjust this number up or down depending on the scaling issue that you are having.

*Note: This fix only works if the text height is correct, but the text is stretching larger or smaller when printed.

Good Luck!

This issue has been a thorn in my side for the last month or two with Revit 2022.
I can get around it. Similar to what Viveka_CD said, you have to
1. physically unplug any other monitors besides your laptop one. (I mean, unplug the HDMI ports. Disconnect them from your computer.)

2. Make sure your display scale is set to 100%.

try that. If that still doesn't work, restart your computer, wait for Revit to load again, then try again. It usually works then.
Autodesk, please fix this. This has cost me hours of extra printing time, not to mention the workflow interruption of having to close everything I was working on to restart.

This thread has four solutions. If you've done all of them and are still having an issue, you should start a new thread.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.
