Termination of Column to Roof

Hi may I just ask how can I have a proper termination of my column and roof as shown on the attached image? I tried using the attach top base but it does not make a proper termination and it prompts an error message saying "column is is being attached to a non structural object".

Thank you for future replies

It's probably a warning and not an error. Warnings can be ignored if you want.
An option to fix this is to uncheck the checkbox Structural in the Propreties Palette.

Hi guys your right its not an error it is just a warning but I think I managed to figure out the output I was thinking of. Because even though I have ignored the error message the output that I received is like what is in the  image "1" which makes only 1 edge of the column touch the roof.  What I was hoping to have is that the whole top of column shall follow the slope of the roof which was the exact output in "image 2" I just tried changing the attachment style to "cut column" and the attachment justification to "maximum intersection" by the way I just included the solution for newbies like me.

Anyway you were also talking about checking the structural checkbox, are you pertaining to the column or the roof?because I can't see any option to make the roof structural is there a way or is it for the column? The circled check box on "image 1" is that the option you were pertaining to for the column to make it structural?

i think you used structural column because roof is non structural,  try to use architectural column to attach to the roof and see if helps. thanks

Yes sir I used a structural column but I think I already managed to have the output I was looking for even using a structural column but I will also experiment on using an architectural column for this just to see what will happen. Thank you!
