okay I don't phasing is quite working like I want it to. Maybe something like parameters is more what I am look for?
1. I have four types of setting options I would like to put on generic models
2. this four settings will be in floor plans and non realistic 3d views
3. I don't want it change the materials in realistic views
4. if it set to one of the four options I want it to have the line color and style for those options in all floor plans and non realistic 3d views
5. I am focusing on setting this up in a template
6. the views in the template will be the same in each project
7. the four options are as following current (visible in all views, very specific shade of red lines, solid lines), future ( visible in some views, have orange lines, and hidden lines), not provided (very specific blue lines, solid lines, visible in all views), existing (magenta lines, phantom lines, visible in all views)
8. I have 3 different types of pda text I only want in pda views
9. I need to be able to toggle the styles onto any generic model family at any stage of the drawing process
10. the options will be applied to generic model families in the project
how do I set this up in revit?
phasing? shared parameters? Filters? assigning line style and colors? filters to views? visibility control in views? template views? do I setup visibility graphics for the pda text? what is the ideal setup for what I am trying to do? It feels like I am making it to complicated and not getting the results I want.
