Tags Leader

Hi is there a way to remove the leader from a tag family so it saves time. Every time I tag a duct section I have to manually switch of the leader and then move the tag over duct. I just want to drop the tag over the duct without having to switch the leader of every time

Thanks Matt

As far as i do know: no. But when tagging there is a option in the topbar to switch it off (before placing it). During the entire Revit session you can place tags without the leader line.

I know that you can switch them off but it’s frustrating that you have to do it individually for every tag. Can you not edit the family and remove the leader element altogether

Why don't you set the default on Placement?  Uncheck "Leader" and the following Tags placed will not have and Leader.  Frankly, I like placing 'em with the Leader checked and Free End checked. Better control placement that way.

Uncheck the box before placing the tag. It will stay unchecked for the session. You will need to uncheck the next time you open a project.

That's EXACTLY what I said.  So, how did I lose out on the solution credit?  I guess only @mattpick10 knows that answer to that question.

Arrgh!

I personally don't care about my solution count. You can have one of mine.

I can guess that you didn't get credit because you like to place your tags with leaders.

There was a time when I just monitored these different forums for tips and tricks, hardly ever contributing. Then I discovered  this forum and began chasing solution credits.  I contribute because of this incentive, not in spite of it.  What can I say; I'm competitive by nature.

All's good.  You win a few; you lose a few.  c'est la vie.

@barthbradley in this case you just need to reply as much as possible, because every response is marked as a solution :grinsendes_Gesicht_mit_lächelnden_Augen:

Or, you can post a random topic and answer it your self, multiple times, then mark them all as solutions.

Now we have non-solutions marked as solutions.

THAT gets under my skin.

Hi,

I would like to tag a floor with many rooms, as I tag other objects. i.e. I tag other objects by "Tag All" with the leader checkbox checked, and than I select the labels on one half of the floor and pull them to the perimeter of the sheet, and sort them by "nudging up and down  to get the tags around like the "balloons" around the drawing. this is done with the "leader Type" set to Attached.

My problem is that I can't do this process wit room tags, I didn't find the "leader Type" field for Room Tags.

Do you have any suggestions?

Thanx in Advance,

MEPme

Resurecting an old thread here but I am having an interesting problem. Using Revit 2022 (22.1.70.9), even when I uncheck leader or change the end type, it alwasy reverts back to leader checked and free end. I can't get the setting to stick. Anyone have a clue on this one? Or am I going to have to uninstall and reinstall this version?
