Hi all,
I want to create a 2 color tag. (Red and Black, Buble + leader)
If i assign a subcategory to a tag I can change color.
Issue comes from the leader (Color leader reflect Category Tag color).
Any idea?
create 2 separate families each able to change color and nest one into the other with parameters to control color by different subcategories
Hi.
I think is not possible to nest Tag families. If so cna you show me how?
you can actually nest annotative generic tags but the leader color will not adjust to color
start with a generic annotative family create the first family as the host, save that one then save as to create the second family rename it and change the parameters you need. save that then load it into the host family follow how the symbol parameter in the host is assigned to the nested family
2 families attached in Revit 2019
the host family = RED the nested family is BLUE open them both see how they are created , category sub category assignments etc.
parameters for visibility as TYPES
depending on what you are tagging only place the tag label in the host family and manage the geometry as a type (RED or BLUE)
Thanks for you reply but "you can actually nest annotative generic tags but the leader color will not adjust to color".
That is actually the title of the tread.
the thread title is TAGS: LEADER
regardless of the title if its a category that drives the color of the leader then assign a category that you can change the color of.
otherwise a workaround is to not focus on a color of a leader but what the leader is pointing to and the information it provides from the tag of any color then create a legend that explains what each color means
Many thanks for your effort I appreciate it.
I think that a good solution could be as you said.I will use same color for all the tags leader and prepare a legend for the bubble color meaning.
