Hi guys,

I am trying to figure out if the following is a human error or a Revit 2016 bug:

I have had tags disappear out of a project between prints. The tags are there and ticked off at the first print and then when the sheets are reprinted the tags dropped off. They are not hidden or turned off but deleted. All of them.

This has happened a number of times on different projects with different tags: material, FF&E etc.

It seems kind of unlikely that one person would go in, select all in entire project and delete them, so I am wondering if it could be something else, a bug or a setting perhaps? Or is it a syncing issue, that they somehow get deleted when 2 people sync at the same time. Has anybody else experienced this? It is kind of hard to detect this as it is usually elements that have been ticked off at QA1 and therefore not usually picked up at QA2 so I'd like to avoid this if possible.

Cheers!

Never heard of all tags getting deleted (dropped off).

If QA2 doesn't notice that all the tags are missing, you may have bigger issues.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Do you have a Linked Model that you are tagging from the Host model?

If so, sometimes a Link will get unloaded or removed, and the tags will then be deleted (and dimensions, etc.)

Usually an error message will appear, saying "elements will be deleted", and sometimes a user will click OK

because they are in a hurry, don't understand the warning/error, or just by mistake.
