I am linking multiple units to another project, I am wondering how to give each window a separate mark so I can tag and schedule them correctly in the main project. At the moment, the windows are retaining the mark from the linked project, and I can not change this in the properties box.
Thanks, Chris

I haven't catch your problem clearly, did you link other models by linked view, in which you can see the tags but not able to change? Actually you can tag the windows which in the linked model, by selecting "Include elements from linked files", see below

Hi BIM-CONG, thanks for the reply. I can tag windows OK, it is the mark I want to change to the windows. Because I am using the same house many times, I have linked 1 project into the main project multiple times.
What this means is that the mark remains the same in the properties. I am wondering if there is a way to make this unique in the main project?
Hi
Thanks for the reply,
I Can tag windows. The problem is if I number the windows in the linked project 1-10. I will have 8 windows 1, 8 windows 2, 8 windows 3 and so on.
I am wondering if there is a way to have it so I can have a unique window number for each window.
Thanks
Chris
Oh, I got it. Since the "Mart" parameter is belong to the window of the linked file, you can't change it in the main model, and tag is used to "draw" the information from the parameter, kinda "read-only".
In this issue, I think it's not easy for you to tag different "Mark" of same windows. I have an alternative suggestion which may help.
1. Add some shared parameters to the windows for each unit you would linked in, and add project parameters with them as Instance. For example, you could give the window some parameter as "Unit 1 Mark", "Unit 2 Mark"...and so on.
2. After that input the Mark you wish for each window and for each unit.
3. In the main model, you can use different type of tag to get different "Unitx Mark".
4. You can also use schedule to get the unique mark information in this way.
I know it's a little complicated to do it in this way, but I haven't get a better method yet. Hope it helps.

Hi again and thanks for responding again.
It is an interesting idea, and once set up I think it will work, Thanks.
Chris
- name each Link instance with a unique ID
- add a Combine Parameter consists of RVT Link: Name and Window's Mark
