Tagging Beam Systems

I am having trouble getting Beam System Tags to appear in the floor plan I need them in. 

Revit's default appears to be to place the span tag in the floor plan above the beam system. I however, need the span tag to appear in the Floor Plan below the beam system.

Is this at all possible?

Select the Tag > Mode > Edit Family > View > Visibility Graphics > Annotation Categories - check Reference Planes - 

Group the Label and the Rectangle Border. Create an offset parameter from the Reference Plane for the Group - Load the Family into the Project.

Use the parameter to control the Tag position from the center of beams...

Thanks for your response. This is a useful tip. I am actually looking for a way to use the Span Tag on beam systems that are in the ceiling of a floor plan. For example, the beams are located in the second floor floor plate, but I want to tag their span in the First Floor Plan.

Is this possible?

Yes, it is.....

1. Using View Range in the bottom Level ( increasing the Cut Plane Level) make visible the Beam System from the Upper Level.
2. select the beam system > View >LineWork ( LW ) >Line Style - Overhead - click each beam of the system - the line will became dashed
3. decrease back the value of the Cut level from step 1 to average 1,20 ( or your usual cut plane position)
4. Tag the beam system in bottom Level
