Simple question. Is it possible to make a tag with a family name + description with a horizontal line dividing both of them AND the leader always connecting to that line? Example below. When i try to do this in Revit he always connects the leader to the geometric centre of the tag when the text is added, ignoring reference planes and the insertion point.

There is not an accurate way to do this. A workaround will be to draw a line in the tag family and move it up and down until the 'drawn line' aligns with the tag leader.
See bellow images and attached a sample tag family.
The drawn line is sitting in a random location and somehow it works....
Tag in project
Good luck.
Hi
Building on the similar concept, Top Family name can a text with Underline type ( so that the line adapts to the length
of the Family name..
Secondly to get the leader started exact at center, two invisible same length lines would do the trick...
For leader, one needs to create a leader type and implement that...
I have attached Tag family as well..
Cheers !

This will only work if both the upper and lower text are of equal length. Since the lower one is a description, it's length will be various, so this will mess up the leader line location.
@Corsten.Au
Great idea with the invisible lines! Only problem would be make them long enough so that no long description messes it up. Or use an instance parameter for their length. I'll try it tomorrow and tell you how it goes.
