This may be an old topic....
Detail Item Tags, the Labels are not TOP justifying properly - the default is naturally defaulting to Middle. This is also the situation if multi parameter label with and with out breaks, prefixes and suffix....
...Need the TAG Leaders at the TOP!
You don't think it's Font-related?
I don't think I understood you correctly. Are you talking about where the extension line meets the Font in the Project? Font justification wouldn't control that. That's controlled by where the Origin Ref. Planes intersect in the Family.
"That's controlled by where the Origin Ref. Planes intersect in the Family."
Seriously? ****! This makes sense though....but cannot unpin these and remove the Origin
So a workaround to group the label, add a reference line. then create a label for length parameter to offset anno from the Origin?
This creates a explosion of Typologies....
Is there a work around to this?
At the risk of poking the bear, I don't get it. It's a tag -- not a dissertation.
How about giving me an example? Maybe I'm reading you all wrong.
You'll need to either do this or move the label field further up away from the origin of the reference planes in the family editor depending on the quantity of lines of text, which might lead to a plethora of families. Six one way, half-dozen the other... It is quite limiting in this situation to not have a "Leader Justification" property.
Yes exactly!...I want to believe this is possible.
thinking that the label text justification should work like project annotation text.
The horizontal justification seems to be working fine
....is this considered a limitation and / or slated for improvement in later versions?
It certainly is a limitation in the definition of the word "limit": your options for adjusting the leader's position are limited. I wouldn't put money on it changing though; for what it is worth, I haven't heard nor seen this complaint before. I think more often this is a case where people work with or around Revit's abilities.
Text with leaders -- or a simple alphanumeric callouts keyed to sheets notes. That's how we roll. ![]()
@barthbradley , @Redrunner92 I appreciate all the responses, and will take them under advisement.
It is a bit frustrating to see that the Vertical Alignment working, but not the Horizontal.
Currently tasked with Detail Component library update. There is a want for consistency of the data intended to be tagged...however the desired graphics to have the Leader TOP justified.
@barthbradley from your last - you are using a symbolic workflow with note block?
