TAG BOUNDARY WITH MARK OR DESCRIPTION

When tagging boundaries with length, I need to put a text mark or description on the boundary line (just selected lines) as well.

These appear in the tag editing list (mark / description) but where would I enter the description for that line?

I would add a comments value to your tag. Slowly double clicking the tag allows you to edit the value of the comments.

You have to choose property line segment tags

You should be able add comments & descriptions

When you add the tag, you can define the text for that property line segments

I need the final piece in this puzzle; I am confident that I have set this up properly with the comments etc.

what is eluding me is where do I enter the comment for the individual lines. There is a comment section when selecting the property line but this is for the entire boundary and does not appear. I need to enter the comment for each boundary somewhere??

thanks in advance

Apparently the tag contain information for those lines. I cannot select those line segments and change the data. So you have to rely on the tags and double click on it to change the value. The video show how I am able to change the text. I placed in description parameter into the property line segment and apparently it is grey out. Mark and comment works really well if you want to have two independent value for each line segments.

Genius

that's it, after an initial failure as it was opening the family editor for the tag, I slowed the click down;

the trick is to do a slow double click - my click was too fast and that opens the tag in the family editor,...

click once to highlight, rest, click again to bring up the 'Change Parameter Values'

@wisedrawing , if you want to avoid opening the family editor accidentally, you can remove that feature in File > Options > User Interface > Double Click Options > Customize > Families > Do Nothing
