Symbolic lines at ref level in a face based family will not display if the family is placed at a level in a project.
If you offset the family by 1mm above host level they display.
When I change lines to model lines same thing happens.
The family category is Structural Framing.
Can be different things, position of the lines in the family. Position of floor on level.
For some reason it seems to be below the floor.
(You can put the symbolic lines on an elevated workplane in the family
Maybe you can upload the family so we can have a look. Or better, small part of your project with the floor and family.

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.
I had a similar problem with this duct fitting family. When I rotate it 90 degrees relative to the plan plane the lines of the fitting disappear on one side. I go into the section view of the family put in lines, put in detail items nothing would fill in the line without as well showing up in the plan view making it look wrong. I drew a model line with the front plan view, assigned it to its own plane and aligned that plane with the end of fitting. Somehow it works. Its like the planes are confused and located differently depending on the orientation of the fitting.
Finally I aligned the plans and somehow it works lol
