Swimming pool grill / gutter

Dear Revit-users,

Who can help me?

i want to create a family for a swimmingpool grill.
I want it to be line-based, when I select my family and select the contour of the swimmingpool at that moment I want to see my grill around it.

I tried it with a system-family railing, but its not the best way. Because its not in the right category and I cant change the parameters like the width of the grill.

So i need some help,

You can change the width of the grill when it's used as a baluster in a railing family, just like you can change any baluster in a railing family -- by using a different type.

Take a slice of the grill - and put it into a baluster family. Create a railing type with this and no railing. You can control the spacing of the grill and also keep it centered of off center, as you need. To change the overall width of the grill - change the baluster family.

...if you are opposed to railing, then you could put your family on an adaptive point and repeat it along a divided path.
