Greetings,

I'm currently working on a project and even though I've unchecked the survey points as shown here and form each linked model:

THey still pop up in gray:

Is there something I'm missing while working on my view templates?

I'd appreciate your support in this endeavour.

Hi,

It seems you might be turning the Internal Origin, Base Point and Survey Point off for the active (host) model only, not for the links.
You could modify your view template(s) by going to Views>View Templates>Manage View Templates, then edit the V/G Overrides for RVT Links. On the new window, go into Display Settings and the RVT Link Display Settings window will open. On the Basics tab, select Custom, then select the Model Categories tab, change to Custom on the dropdown and finally turn IO, BP and SP off under the Site category (do this for each link)

If this doesn't work for some reason, as a last resort you could (with your main model closed) go into each linked model and turn them off manually. Save changes, then reopen your host model.

Greetings, }

Thanks for your reply. I've done exactly that with each linked model and still I get the greyed points, I'm kind of stucked with this.

You have tried both methods I suggested? Weird.

Could you share screenshots of  the V/G Overrides RVT Links settings you have applied to your link(s)?

Also please let me know which version of Revit are you using, e.g.:

Ok, here they go:

This is my version:

The ones unchecked are the survey, project points. I'll open and close my project to see if that works.

Thanks!
After  some digging online, I am now thinking it might be some bug related to the 2020.1 update that introduced the feature to control visibility of the Origin Point, where older projects upgraded to that version would default to showing it in every view.
I found this solution on the Dynamo forum. I think you should give it a go and see if it fixes things for you 🙂

Update on the issue.

Currently I'm working with Collaborate Pro. After closing and reopening the file those survey points were no longer present. Might be some issue related to the cloud and reloading/refreshing the model.

Thanks to you all for the aid
