I recently came across a situation where I needed to have two different surface patterns to slab.
Is it possible or any workaround ?
for ex. I want to see diagonal hatch plus solid light shading both as surface patterns.

"Solid light shading"??? Well then set a solid light shading under SHADING, and your pattern under SURFACE PATTERN. You can have both. Or, am I misunderstanding you?
Thanks for reply both of you.
Still having trouble. @barthbradley We are using visual style hidden line.
I tried duplicating views and overlaying on sheet. doesn't give the results as wanted. pls see attached. my internal beam also gets hidden .
I my missing something here
pls see image
1. how Can I see internal beams through shaded surface pattern once views overlayed ( what's causing it to hide?)
2.once overlayed I want to see both hatching plus dashed lines continuing
Thanks
Not the overlay, but the Parts idea. I thought it was smart. Then use Show Hidden Lines. I think it will work. I'm not at a Revit station now to test, but I think it would work beautifully. Get the concept?
...still, I am curious why you're not considering a Shade and Surface Pattern together.
apply solid hatch to the surface pattern then draw filled region with the diagonal pattern
