Surface division dependency

Hi all

Im trying to figure out by with rules surface division is aligned after changing its shape. I mean when I am moving one edge of surface,  division is aligned to one of surface boundaries.  Is there any rule of it that behavior?  Ty for any advices.

I wouldn't divide an adaptive panel for that very reason.  How many of these do you intend to place in the Project?  

If you can tell us, or show us what you are building, we can make some suggestions on how to go about modeling it in Revit efficiently.

Select the divided surface will show you the UV option and a symbol in the center of the surface to click on to adjust it.  Play around with those.
