Hi
Im using Revit 2018 student version and using a pre-customized template. In the Project Browser - Families - Railings - Handrail Type - Property - Supports - Family dropdown, i can only choose "None".(attachment file)
But if i use the default architecture template, in that menu i can choose "Support - Metal - Circular". So i think there must be something wrong with the customized template, and i want to ask someone for a way to fix this - the option to choose "Support - Metal - Circular" in the supports family dropdown in the customized template.
Many Thanks
Rgd.
Can't you Load the missing family from your Library into the Template (RTE) and/or the Project (RVT) itself?
Hi
There are no handrail families as such which you can import.
You can create a handrail profile family, import it and Create a handrail
using that profile..
If you copy paste stairs with handrail from one project to another, that will
bring in the handrails with their associated profile along..
cheers!
Maybe I am misreading the OP, but FWIW, here's a link (from Autodesk Knowledge Network) to an RVT file that has Railing Supports in it:
