Structural Silicone Glazing System

Hi all,

I am looking for a Revit family of a glazing system with structural silicone. My professor doesn't like mullions, so he wants us to substitute any visible structural elements with silicone sealant and use columns for structure. Are there ready made families for that?

And if not, can I create one myself? Any helpful video tutorials on how I can do that?

I create a mullion type that matches the thickness of the glazing (square) and assign a different material to it. That creates a joint that is about the same size as a real butt glazing joint. Then place structural columns behind the glazing.

I would divide the curtain wall with curtain grids but would not assign any mullions for butt join conditions. The reason is that I need to show nominal panel dimension, center of joint to center of joint, per our glazing vendor preference.  The width of the silicon joint is cover in details and/or specifications.  That also keeps the elevation and 3d drawings clean of muddy lines 1/4" apart from each others.
