Hi, i have been using Revit Architecture student version for a while and have learned the basics, but want to learn the best way to create a structural/ construction plan/s eg a roof framing plan or a wall framing plan for a timber frame house. Is this done just using 2D detail lines like in Autocad? or better created in 3D(if so how is this done?). I have a couple of books at home but they dont seem to go in to this side of things at all, they seem to focus on more design. If 3D is best then how do you create the rafters and the ridge boards and make them sit flush and create a birdsmouth as would be done on site?. A little help on this matter would be much appreciated.
