structural model: Test if wall is connected to an element underneath

Hi forum,

I am looking for a (semi) automated way to validate our model. I would like to check if every structural element is "connected" ( just that they share a common surface) to at least one element underneath. If this would not be the case, it would mean this element would be flying around which obviously represents a mistake in the structural model.

As far ass i know this is not possible with Navisworks so it might be possible to built a workflow with dynamo...

Does anybody would have an idea?

thanks in advance

go to structural settings, analytical model tab and mark all checks you require. If something is not connected as it is supposed to be you'll get a warning message (manage tab, warnings).

Do you happen to know the Revit Modelchecker by Biminteropabilitytools?

judging by the videos it is more adaptible but i havn't tried it yet.

Have a nice day

nope, haven't used it. This built-in one does the job so it is enough for me ..
