Hi,
Just wasted 2 hours searching for an answer for this - stunned it isn't out there (that I can find).
I have a master model which links in 13 of our sub-models. It is a large project (602 flats) so we have to split models. Then I was linking the structural model into the master too.
I basically want to colour their structural columns and walls so they stand out on my floor plans in the master. I can accomplish this under VG by changing the RVT graphics. All good so far.
However, some columns are partially obscured by walls/furniture etc. from the architectural models and I want them to override all - as if draw order was set to front.
I have tried changing the linked files to the correct discipline, but no joy. Screenshot attached.
Can anyone recommend a method of achieving this ?
Thanks. That does allow me to see the structural elements through, but it completely changes the architectural model graphics and I lose the colour scheme.
Does change the structural elements' cut pattern to the dense diagonal pattern in lieu of solid hatch help?
I did a test and changing the cut pattern of linked structural elements to something other than solid did the job.
ToanDN - thanks for the pointer. It did partially work for me. When zoomed in close like your screenshot it looked right, but when zoomed out it doesn't override and doesn't print correct either.
Maybe it is because they are both links.
