Hello,
I have a general question regarding structural projects import in Revit.
On our office, we are getting IFC files from the structural engineers to verify conflicts with the architecture project.
What's the best Workflow for this in Revit? Should we only use the structure generated IFC from other software to link to our file, or should we somehow convert it into Revit geometry manually and have only Revit geometry and structure on our Architecture model?
How's usually made? I simply don't know what's consensus regarding IFC files import on Revit when it comes to columns, slabs and beams.

You can work with both
Or you could take yours and the IFC from your consultants to Navisworks or whichever application you use for clash detection/model coordination
There are loads of material on the subject in Autodesk University Database...You can start there and if you have more specific questions I would be glad to help

But what if the IFC doesn't have structure joins, or correct slab representation when shown in section views, etc?
Then it doesn't (you cannot really edit much in an IFC and you are not supposed to). The main idea of BIM is collaboration...they do their part and you do yours. Meaning you coordinate your part and mark up what they need to coordinate at their end.
Unless you are being paid to remodel/incorporate all of their work into your model to produce a federated model

There are the Revit Sample files...I think there are 2 structural projects. You can test with those. Export to IFC then Re-import
